| Post subject: | Albany Brand Brake Pads - Sold under the Duralast label |
Hello, it's been awhile since I have posted. Anyway, I have the '74+ front disc setup on my 70 Swinger. I had a devil of a time getting front pads I was happy with that did not dust horribly and need to be replaced quickly. LA traffic can be hell on your car. I used Bendix and Raybestos, and many others, all were dusty dusty dusty and squeaky. Great stopping power though. So I was changing my pads, and in a pinch I went to Autozone and got the semi-metallic Duralasts. The box said "Albany" on it, the brakes looked very quality. They have been quiet and almost no dusting. The only draw back is they do not have quite the same stopping ability, a little more effort is needed. Just a heads up for anybody looking for a pad. |

Unfortunately, all that I've bought there lately, under any of their house brands, have been Chinese or Indian. Rick |

I have had good luck with Wagner Thermo Quiet pads and I believe they are made in Canada. |
