Post subject:  Lean Burn Carbs- What to do with

Subject says it all. Is there anything to salvage off of the carbs? Market for them??? I hate to throw anything away(true packrat), but Ill turn them into cash or trade for steel at the scrap yard.
Ideas???

Choke pull-offs, levers, linkage, jets, floats, castings...if you do much twiddling and tinkering with carbs of the same make and model (Carter BBD, Holley 1945, whatever) it's probably worth keeping them for parts.

Thanks Dan
I thought they would have some good parts on them. I guess its time to actually tear one down and see whats different on them.

Most of the innards look to me like they would interchange, but what do I know? I never met a 1945 that worked right, and after rebuilding one with painstaking precision I bolted it on and it ran worse afterward. I discovered too late that the throttle bore was wobbled. :(

Pack rat-ism runs deep in the car hobby, but IMHO the lean bum carb is best used for scrap.
