I really appreciate all the input that you guys have given. After accumulating some parts , I have realized that there are more logistical challenges with the slant engine that i want to deal with. I will be using instead a 4.0 Jeep ( AMC-Chrysler) six cylinder, stroked to 4.7 . about 285 cu in . Hesco in Birmingham makes a billet head for $2000, and the crank weighs only 55 lbs. It is 7 main bearing.
