OK not my slant but the 318 and since they use the same starter and electrics....... Turn key - no starter short out bat and relay feed on starter no go...... Take the one from the Chargers stripped parts bin - It worked before... Turn key - no starter short out bat and relay feed on starter - starter runs... OK test Starter relay output - zilch Take the one from the Chargers stripped parts bin - It worked before... Replace Turn key.. no starter |^%$!!!!!!!! Test THIS relay... (*&^%$#@!!!!!! dead Bought new ones plus 2 spare now all is well And the original starter... well it is in for a rebuild 31 years is not bad for such a relay The fact that both failed at once is bad that I did not cotton on to this early on and do my normal test is even worse That they both kept working ........ |
