So I've been trying to figure out how to bag my barracuda, until now no one has had any good ideas. I've searched the internet far and wide and so far this is what I found. These guys have some talent.

Post subject:  So two different approaches-

The second guy z'd the frame to get it lower, moved up the UCA mounts higher, and redesigned the frame side of the LCA including a proposed triangulation to come with a shock mount. Looks like tons of work! It might have been easier to just cut it all off and weld in a coilover style front clip and adapt the engine mounts? He seems to be taking his time and making his parts all nice and sturdy, but is there a plan or is he making it up as he goes? Will he have enough adjustment when he's done to get a reasonable alignment at ride height? The thread ends 1/2 way done...

The first guy looks like he just welded a tube support to put the bags on top of the UCA, using the stock suspension parts to locate the ball joints. Did he delete the torsion bars? Is he running into the ball joint binding issues that lead the other bagger to do all those mods?

Interesting stuff. I thought about bagging my '73 but I already have $1100 of rims on a $900 car...

I think the first guy is keeping the torsion bars, he just cranked them all the way down. I think if I ever get around to it, I'm going to do a combination of the two setups. I will use the lca created by the second guy, but mount the bag on the upper arm. I think it will be the best set. I think the first guy could have done a little better on the the set up, but still did a bad a$$ job. I won't use the factory uppers when I do my set up. Your ride looks nice! You should sell your wheels and run the bags. I would do the same but I got these wheels and tires for free :D and the likely hood of finding another deal like that is slim to none.
