One of those sure would look cool on my old truck. Problem is room, I have no room for anything like that in my A. I'd have to cut a hole in the side of my doghouse and convert my truck to a right hand drive

I think Doc should buy it so he can cut it up, make new tooling, and start selling them.... Like he doesn't stay busy enough as it is!

I don't need to cut-open a H-Pak to re-make that tooling... I also have that blueprint. :D
Besides, that would be a "been there-done that" project. All I would need is a few thousand dollars, a few hundred man hours and a reliable foundry.
It was the last item on the above list that got me out of that project... there are few foundries left in California and the ones out there don't want to "mess with" a project like the H-Pak intake manifold. It is a hard casting to make, lot's of "fuss" in getting the inner core to sit right and to not move around as the casting is poured.

Franklin and Steed went out of business a couple blocks down from the shop I work at... the sign outside says the building and shop are for sale:
includes foundry, sandboxes, bead and sand blasting equipment and shop space...etc...

I wonder how much they want for it?

Places like that.....

There is a fully functional machine shop in town .....empty for years. I used to work there in the late 70s. Trouble is the other bigger , better sheen shop in town. The town can hardly support one anymore.
The problm being, the guys that own these types of shops cant see beyond the borders of the town. In the past I got them to make a product I sell all over the world....they just did not get it. Thy use zero marketing.....ever.

For the foundry to work out you would need young guys with a fresh approach and a global view. Apparently there is a market for a small foundry......
