A bit of advance palnning - Does anyone havd an idea yet of any races on the East side?

Kearney?

Bristol?

Mason-Dixon?

Knoxville?

Wilkesboro?

Clay City?

I am trying to get my ducks in a row as to which races I can go to.

Ron H may have a Wilkesboro date in July. I will try to work on Kearney and look into Bristol and CC. Rick Covalt can hopefully get us a M-D date soon. Not sure about Knoxville, but maybe Gary Bruner can look into that.

According to Bristol's website, the Mopar event is on Labor Day weekend again. Sept 3-5, 2010.

Greg,

I have a e-mail into the track owner for confirmation, but their web site says May 23rd for the All-Mopar event. The Saturday before(the 22nd) they have their regularly schedule race day, not a test & tune like we had last year. However, we could run the regular race on Saturday and go ahead and win a couple of classes  And be ready for Sunday and our Slant 6 race. And if just being able to run a test & tune is a big deal, I can check and see if he would let us "Slant 6 crazies" run a little test and tune ourselves. I don't know if he would but I can check.

Confirmation to follow,

Rick

Post subject:  It's On

Ok boys, It's time to mark off your calendars for the first East Coast Slant Six race in 2010. Mason Dixon II is a go. I got a short and sweet reply from Elmer.
"I will make sure to add your class to the flyer and look forward to seeing you this year"

So our race date will be Sunday May 23rd. Elmer was great to work with and treated us like the "big boys" so lets try and have a great turn out. Its great that Seymour is coming down, Possum Parker is coming up and we should have quite a few folks from the local area.

Me and the boys have 2 vehicles now, and a possibility of 3 if my Valiant gets going by then. More to follow.

Great! Thanks for setting that up, Rick. I'll be there for sure, most likely with 2 Slant cars.
