Post subject:  Carter carb manuals with jet and metering rod sizes

These are the Carter carburetor manuals covering the years 1965-79. The manuals are without pictures or drawings, but the parts lists contain some vital information, like the jet sizes and measurments on the different metering rods for each carburetor model number. They should all be browsed, because the forms containing the manuals are not sorted on model or year. The cfm ratings may be somewhat deceptive.

Some other useful guides:

A Mopar Carburetor Guide 1963-1974 is here.

A Carter AFB Carburetor Tuning Guide is here (pdf).

A list and lots of other info on all the big TQ's is in A Carter Thermo-Quad Guide.

Mopar Muscle magazine had an article on TQ tune-up, including a list of TQ Factory Metering Rods and Jets.

Here is a link to David Kovac's How to Overhaul and Tune your Carter Thermo-quad Four-Barrel Carburetor.

The Imperial Club has parts lists and repair manuals on the Carter WCD, WCBF, AFB, AVS and TQ carburetors in their Imperial Fuel System Repair Information.

Old manuals for Carter and other makes of carburetors are collected and published free at oldcarmanualproject.com.
They also have all other kinds of manuals, wiring diagrams and brochures of vintage Mopars.

Carter manuals from 1930-47 are also available from old-carburetors.com.

You can also find about 50 different Carter manuals for sale at carburetor-manual.com.

Please pm me if you find a dead link.
