Can an 87 225 from a dodge truck be swaped into a 67 valiant with a 225 in it? I can get the truck free with a 1 year old rebuild and the valiant motor is worn out.

But you MAY need a inexpensive crankshaft adapter, and flexplate, if the car is an automatic. If standard trans, might need a different flywheel.
Also, the motor mount brackets, oil pan, and oil pickup, need to be swaped.

Thank you. I will go get the truck this weekend and begin. Oh and both the truck and the valiant are automatic's. What is different on the back of the crank that needs the adapter? The size of the register for the flexplate?

Both being autos, makes it much easier. Yes it is the size of the crank register. Keep the 87 flexplate on the 87 engine, get the adapter to go in the crank register, and use the 67 trans and converter.
Your other option is to swap the engine and trans, as one unit. Unless the truck trans is a 727, then the driveshaft would need to be modified (shortened, and different front slip yoke).
