Went to the track for some runs tonight,Only got two runs before I had major problems. They kicked me out for going too fast.
First pass was a 7.35 shifting at 5,000 for the break in.Second pass I got a 1.513 60 ft,shifted at 6,000 and ran a 7.258 at 91.73.They pulled my wrist band and sent me to tech.I now need a roll bar, certified belts, and a raceing jacket.
I never thought the car would bee this fast.VERY HAPPY.Guzzi Mark

Woo hoo! A roll bar and belts won't add too much weight.

Holey moley. Great work, Mark. Figure 0.1 sec or so off for rollbar and belt weight, then 0.1-0.2 sec drop for tuning. 7.teens or 7.twennys...

That is one of the fastest NA gasoline cars out there! IIRC, Seymour has run around 7.35-7.40 in his racecar? Has Mike run that fast in the Buzzin' car on gas? Several folks have gone faster on alky, but not gas that I can recall.

Lou

Lou is right, Guzzi is flying! I have run 7.19 on gas but with considerably less weight and a $3,000 transmission. His engine is at least 5% better than my best on his second run! Pay attention to what he has done, this is a break through time slip. Is Mark still running Clifford shorties?

An 8 point bar 1 3/4 will add about 80 pounds. A 10 point cage 1 5/8 about 100 plus, ( mild steel) thats only a tenth loss but may gain that back in performance. Great to hear its running ,all jokes aside we are all pulling for you,you have dedicated a lot of energy and funds and the results are showing.

Mark, I know there were several threads about your engine/car.... can you put the package run down in one spot? I think that would be helpful for a lot of people.

Again, hats off.

Tom
