In my 64 dart /6 with a 904 if I let it sit for about a week it will not leak a drop of atf, but if I let it sit for 2 weeks randomly it will dump about 1qt. of oil on the ground in about a 1 hour time frame. After it dumps that 1qt it will not leak anymore. Anyone have any ideas, my thoughts are maybe a anti-bleed back check ball in the torqe converter?? Thanks in advance |

Torque converter drains down, raises level of fluid above trans pan rail, leaky trans dipstick tube O-ring and/or kickdown lever shaft seal and/or shift cable O-ring and/or park cable O-ring and/or park lock housing to main housing gasket and/or speedometer cable O-ring allow fluid out onto the ground. |

It is coming from the kickdown shaft seal. Thank you for your help, now the search is on to find one |

My '62 Lancer has the same leak from the same place. Get with Pat Blais (tflitepatty@verizon.net ) for a seal kit. |
