I'm rebuilding my engine and would like to start it on an engine stand first but I'm not sure how to wire it up. I assume batt wire thru ballast resistor to + coil. The starter I'll cable thru relay and use a starter push button to cross the relay. How do I wire the 4-terminal ECU and the 2-wire electronic distributor. Thanks in advance for any help!! |

Sorry I cant give you a better answer to your question, But this is more of an electrical forum question than an engine forum question. Also If you get a factoy service manual of the engine bay wiring schematic That should help shed some light on your problem. Good Luck, Greg |

Make sure you are using an engine stand designed to have a motor run on it. If you do a google search there are stories of motors flipping over. |

Thanks for the input. I have used the engine stand start up method several times before. But that was before electronic ignitions. If I'm supposed to move this post to electrical I don't know how. |

Good tip. After a few attempts learning how to search the site, found a wiring diagram for the ECU. Thanks again. Great resource site!! |

How do you plan on starting it? You will need a trans (auto) or flywheel and bell housing. Then how will you attach the engine? I built a test stand for my use it will take any slant configuration. Frank |
