| Post subject: | T5 swaps revisited |
Of those who have done the T5 swap; I was wondering if either anyone here had info laying around, or else knew of a site to find measurements of shifter location front to back on the case, of the different T5's, (Mustang, Camaro etc) as compared to an A/F body 833/833OD? I'm trying to figure out if the T5's shifter is "in the ballpark" of the F body console shifter hole. and also if it would interfere with the top of the trans crossmember. Yes I know that they never used a console on stick-equipped F bodies from the factory; but I am! |

The shifter on the v8 mustang T5 79-9? will be about 3 inches towards the pass side and roughly an inch forward. from a 64 A833 I believe Mcleod makes a $$$ shifter that allows you to relocate the shifter wherever you want it |
