I think with some modifications to the shroud, the Ford Taurus 2-speed fan I have might fit a factory radiator. The issue I see still happening is clearance for the fan motor between the radiator and the front of the water pump. If it fits, it'll be damn close. I think the best way to go will be a dual fan setup like the Contour fan I have installed in my truck (not a Mopar, and I've already verified that the Contour fan shroud will NOT fit our radiators). I have this OCD thing about wanting a shroud with the electric fan when I put one in my Duster. More to come when I get around to the project. |

Jopapa, All you have to do is move the fan up to the top of the radiator for clearance from the water pump. That way they are not aligned and interfering with each other. I just installed a 1980 SL6 motor a few weeks ago and there is plenty of room. The ProComp fan is only 3" deep/thick so there is enough room anyway. Two smaller fans would be fun to try. The other day I noticed the newer Volare/Aspen radiators are thinner than my new stock 74 Modine radiator. |

This is a project, or should I say one of the projects, that I have planned for my '78 Volare'. Be sure to check out Ted's link and read up on what he has done. Jopapa, I hear ya on the OCD. |

Got mine for free from a 99 Saturn. Plan on mounting it in front of the radiator for a blow-thru arrangement. There's a ton of room up there. |
