We will finish the install soon, stock kick down linkage, carb, choke pod, power steering, ect ect. Thank you for your input Don.

Much better! Could use a longer, smaller diameter collector, but this is a big improvement. |

Much nicer! This one might be fun.....but you should incorporate a collector......a nice smooth transition is important! |

Ted this is alot of fun,  We have been checking on collectors, I will most likley build my own, the prices are crazy for these already made. I am trying to keep price down for all of us. The reason for them being so short is that they are welded from the inside, just looks a little better I think. These are not set in stone and will change a little I'm sure, do to input. Choke mounting will be installed today!! Talk to you later Don.

These kind words from some of the top slanters is making me very happy. I have ordered more flanges, that set is for testing and I should be doing this soon.  I will also contact Charlie around Ocala he is not that far from us, we would like to see fitment in early A bodys and the 170 for adjustments we may need. Talk to yall soon Don.

Are those 3" collectors, or bigger? 3" would be nice just for parts availability. These look quite nice and may be better than the Clifford shorties when you get a collector sorted out. Keep up the good work! Lou |

Hello Dart270 yes these are standard 3" collectors. If you have a smooth shrinking pipe let say 3" to 2" 8" long connected to these, is that not the same as a longer collector? Just asking for my info  Don

I think that the answer is "yes" as most typical headers are designed this way. DonYour headers could be good for people who wanted to choose their collector length to suit their build. Could you give us a pic of where the pipes come together at the flange? |

Would you be willing to substitute a T3 turbo flange at the end, after the collector? How about stainless or ceramic coating as options? What kind of price are you shooting for? Greg |

Personally, I think 3" collectors are the way to go anyway. You may want to get ahold of some other types of manifolds to make sure your pipes'll fit those (at least Offy and Clifford 4bbl and maybe Offy 2X1?). Also, let me know if you you would be interested in doing a single-outlet turbo manifold, either one off or to produce. Keep it up! Lou |

Scroll down about 1/4 of the way. http://www.headersbyed.com/_collect.htm I think your collector should look like these. I think I remember using about a 15 degree merge angle until you get down to the size of the collector you want. If you want to get fancy have a triangular spike in the middle... |

Hello all. This weekend is packed full of work for me, thanks for all the info. Wow sometime all we need is the right pic to make the light go on. I did post the first choke pod, started with the 1bbl and will be doing the 2bbl soon. Not enough time this morning to respond to all's response I will be back in here tonight or in the morning. I'm with Greg on this one. Would you be willing to make them to sell after you perfect your design? How about stainless or ceramic coating as options? What kind of price are you shooting for? Greg If you offer a reasonable price, then you could sign me up for a pair.
