Hi everyone! I have a 72 swinger, 225, 1 bbl. i recently acquired a Rochester 2 jet (2gv) 2 bbl carb and wanted to know if and how i can use this carb. I know i need a 2bbl manifold but what else? thanks! -angelo |

Hi Angelo. If you make a search in the forum using 'rochester', you come up with an awful lot of pages, if you search only for '2gv', you come up with some very interesting results. They tell the story of how mopar was short of Carters and actually used the Rochester 2gv! See here. Olaf |

thanks for the reply! Sooo....do i need an adapter for it? would i use the same kickdown and throttle linkage setup of the supersix for the rochester? Thanks in advance. -angelo |

It depends if the Rochester carb you have is in fact one of the ones that was made for Chrysler, or if it's off a GM vehicle. The ones made for Chrysler have Chrysler throttle and choke linkage arrangements. The ones for GM cars do not. |
