All I know is Chrysler is cleaning their attic & basement of old stuff. I suspect this block was a prototype not unlike most of the other junk listed. Why would the price be over a grand for a regular old 3.7 /6 engine block?

Those have been up there for several months, maybe even a year or more. The 4.0L slant part is just a mislabel / confusion with the Jeep motor. Further down the page they have a "4.0L Jeep Slant 6 Short Block".

Oh… Didn’t look at no stinking Jeep Junk.

Just caught my eye while bottom feeding. I hadn’t been on that site for six months, or more since the new house project kicked off. Still a wee bit pricy…

That looks like a standard production 225 aluminum block in nice shape. $1750 is a lot, but might be worth it to someone?? They are optimistic.

No, not really. That vendor isn't Chrysler. They've been trying to hawk that inaccurately-listed stuff for a couple of years now.

Nope, it's not. It's just an inaccurately-described aluminum 225. The "4.0" is because some dufus lumped it in mentally with the 4-litre Jeep six. There is no 4.0 aluminum slant-6.

Um...because the vendor's deluded? Because sooner or later someone will come along with more money than brains? Because P.T. Barnum was right?
