I was just browsing this thread and now I have to ask... Quote: Note there are different terminal adaptors made for this starter.
Is an adapter necessary? In other words, is there something special in the adapters or could someone just remove the adapter and wire straight to the terminals on the starter?
•Mitsu 3.0 terminal adaptor (that's the one I'd use for max clearance between the top of the starter and the cable attachment points) •2.2/2.5 4-cylinder terminal adaptor •3.3 LH-car terminal adaptor (only for the battery cable; the solenoid trigger connects directly to the starter body without any adaptor). |

That works too, as long as you can dependably keep the big and little wires away from each other. |

I just had to ask in case it wasn't as straight forward as it looked... The big and little wires are still molded in their rubber block from the factory. Thanks Dan, as always. |
