Post subject:  Cleaning it up to put back together?

Okay, so I have new gaskets and want to start putting it back together.
What is the best way to clean it - dumped gas in the pistons for a leakdown test, sanded deck, etc.

BTW - the Felpro head gasket is a NO-Retorque

Is the copper gasket stuff good for use on the intake/exhaust side?
Got some and was thinking of using it.

Anyway, the back is feeling almost good enough to try and lift the head into place - and the weather is taking a little break so I might be able to get it done without rain.

You shouldn't have to use any kind of gasket sealing product on any of the manifold sealing surfaces. Follow the factory instructions found here.

I would re-torque the head gasket in 500-1,000 miles no matter what.those "no retorque"head gaskets are a gimmick in my opinion.

anyway - as to putting it together etc.

got that one covered

was lot's more interested in getting all the crap out of it now
to get it clean again
