Okay, so I have new gaskets and want to start putting it back together. What is the best way to clean it - dumped gas in the pistons for a leakdown test, sanded deck, etc. BTW - the Felpro head gasket is a NO-Retorque Is the copper gasket stuff good for use on the intake/exhaust side? Got some and was thinking of using it. Anyway, the back is feeling almost good enough to try and lift the head into place - and the weather is taking a little break so I might be able to get it done without rain. Later, Dan |

You shouldn't have to use any kind of gasket sealing product on any of the manifold sealing surfaces. Follow the factory instructions found here. |

I would re-torque the head gasket in 500-1,000 miles no matter what.those "no retorque"head gaskets are a gimmick in my opinion. |
