This 1984 D-150 has been a very cooperative project since Sept and I chose to reward her with a fresh coat of Maaco over Thanksgiving! Try not to get her dirty  .

Thats a real nice looking truck. I really dig the body colored wheels with the dog dish caps.

Nice. However, Maaco has painted my brother's van twice and both times the paint job looked good for a couple months and then started to deteriorate. Hopefully you did some prep work and paid for one of their more expensive paint jobs.

Maaco, did my 66 Cuda 8 or 9 years ago. Still looks good. I got one of their better jobs on a 1/2 price deal. Paid $225. If I had know it would turn out as good as it did , I would have spent a weekend with a DA

Thanks for all of the thumbs up! I nearly took a pass on having her painted (who paints a truck?) But the front fenders had been replaced and the hood was lookin' pretty dull so I took the plunge. I have been using the same Maaco shop for about 17 years and they have always done great work for me. I generally do my own prep but they do decent work for the $$. I drive all of my vehicles regularly and they are parked outside year round (ask SS Dan) so spending 3-5k on paint ain't gonna happen.

I bought the truck for my father-in-law who now just wants to borrow it (whew!) So it features: 904 Auto Trans, PS, PDB, SG 8.25 rear, Electronic Ignition, full instrumentation option, factory sway bar, 1978 vintage slant w/ a 1945 1bbl carb and a big crack in the windshield! She runs great and gets 18 combined mpg. I also found that all of the exhaust system is available pre-bent! I just bolted it in (minus the cat - shhh!) ;>)

hey micheal,
what size tires are you running ?.i'm running 235/70r15's on mine(thinking about going to a shorter tire).my gas mileage runs 16-19 combined, usually around 17.i think my lean burn is dying, there is no rhyme or reason to the variation in mileage.once it warms up it's time for ignition upgrade.

If you don't mind, where did you find the exhaust sections, I have tried Rock Auto and they do not have all of the parts for my 83 W150

Thanks, Jeff

Nice truck, white is the purest color. Don't worry about getting it dirty, black paint would have been much harder to keep clean.
