i vaguely recall someone saying that the front three cyl and the back three should be separated into their individual collectors. Is this true? if there was an option, is that the best setup or are other setups with better sound/better performance? thanks, Lucas.

Yes, 1-2-3 in one 4-5-6 in other
Firing order 1-5-3-6-2-4 so,
1--3--2 in front collector,
5--6--4 in back collector

Fopar has it right. 6-1 collectors are not optimum.
