I have purchased a OEM map light for my 1986 Dodge D150 pickup but I cannot find the female connector to hook it up. Since the truck did not originally have a map light was the connector not included in the dash wiring harness? |

Just so you know we are paying attention to you just don't have any answers,I do how ever have a guess. The map light you bought is it for a 86 D150 for sure? I have had bunches of Dodge vans and they all seem to have plenty of 'extra' wire/plug ins etc.for optional equipment.Knowing MoPar my guess would then be that they used one wire loom for all similar models no matter what options were installed.Just a WAG but keep looking maybe needed an extension from it's plug in to the light. :shrug: |

6shot is right- Dodge put extra power taps into the dash harness (as well as ground taps) for all the optional auxilliary equipment (spotlights, sirens, CBs, etc...). I believe the color you are looking for is a pink wire. It will have a breakout that will accept male bullet terminals. Look for one that is always hot. |
