What's a safe PSI for front runners? I want to reduce the rolling resistance as much as possible, but not blow up the tires with overinflation. Greg |

Don't worry only about rolling resistance. Remember, air pressure, effects the rollout of the tire, and can be used to help reaction times. If you are having a problem with red lights, lower the air pressure. If your lights are "slack", raise the pressure up.
I want to reduce the rolling resistance as much as possible, but not blow up the tires with overinflation. Greg |

Thanks guys, Well there is no max PSI marking on the tire or else I wouldnt have posed a question here, also I am not having any light problems yet. I was not aware of this fact, but it is interesting. Greg |

I ran some Moroso front runner tires before that were marked 40 psi max. They were an actual race tire. A narrow street rated tire might have different load ratings, as some people try to use VW tires because they are narrow enough to fit a 3"-4" wide rim, but might not have the strength to support a heavier bodied car at a higher speed also. But all tires are required by the DOT to have both a speed rating number and inflation spec on them. |

If you put to much air in a front runner they will slide when you burnout or try launch. |

I did look at the inside of the tire too. No psi ratings. These are race only non dot type tires. Thnaks, Greg |

Greg, You can run 30 to 35, Maybe check the Hooiser web site ? Charlie is right, I know guys that run as little as 12 psi to help reaction time. I wouldn't want to be going 100 mph with that little but everybody's got their own way of doing things. |

Cool, I have them bumped up pretty high now, I will bleed em down to 35 on saturday, and we'll see how she goes. Romeo When you comin into town? It would be fun to hit the TNT at prp with both of aour machines! Greg |

I always run with 40psi. This is in my Nova, it ran 13s before the motor blew up. |
