So I'm shopping around for one and was wondering, what's the difference between a 70-73 gasket and a 74-76 gasket? The windshields are the same, but some vendors list two different gaskets. What gives? Is it only a cosmetic thing? Does one have a better chance at sealing then the other?

My windshield needs to be replaced. Right now I'm using a chrysler gasket. Not the original from the car, but is a chrysler part. May have been NOS, does have the pentastar and part number on it. Will a new seal have better chance of sealing, or does it not matter (as long as there is no obvious cuts etc, comes out whole) because you have to use goop to seal it up anyways?
