The boys 1984 Dodge D150, 225 slant six, has developed a cracked exhaust manifold. Not sure why as it was running fine and he has only driven it a few weeks so far.

Can you weld these up or what? Looks to be about $300+ to buy a new one.

Seemed to happen right after he got the truck stuck driving on a slick road. He never really would tell me if he went in the ditch or what exactly happened. Could he have flexed the frame of the truck and cracked it or just coincidence?

Looks like the intake manifold needs to come off also to get to it?

Have to rebuild the carb also but that is another thread.......

New exhaust manifolds are on e bay a lot cheaper then 300
good used ones are not difficult to find, the part is heavy so shipping can be the bigger part of the deal.
Why don't you post in the part wanted section and identify your location,
there may be a .org member in the area with a extra manifold,
