1971 Valiant - 225 /6 - how do i measure my drums and could anyone point me to replacements - not sure what i have - inside drum measurement is 9" diameter with 2.25" depth - they are quite rotten where the weld holds the back flange to the drum. Poor old car still needs loads of lovin...hehe |

Usually not good advice; the parts they sell tend to be low-quality junk.

You might check The Paddock: https://www.paddockparts.com/Paddock/pr ... 9BA2521B4D I bought front drums for my Barracuda there in late 2004. At that time, they were Raybestos brand, and were made in Canada. I'd call them to see. Roger |

Try www.Rockauto.com I just bought a bunch of stuff for my Valiant's 9" rear brakes and noticed that they had drums listed in their catalog when I was searching out parts. |

It may well be an anomoly but I got one (of six) Canadian 9" drums from "the Rock" that had the centering and lug holes all about .010" off center relative to the shell (the turning was on). The .020" run-out was interesting trying to adjust, when I pulled it and actually looked at it it was visible to the eye.I just bought a bunch of stuff for my Valiant's 9" rear brakes and noticed that they had drums listed in their catalog when I was searching out parts. I could understand the holes being off, but would've thought the turning'd match the holes rather than the shell. Just that one though, the rest were serviceable enough, and they sent me another one strictly on my word. |
