Post subject:  WEIRD Slant 6 industrial distributor cap *PIC*
<FONT COLOR="006600">Hi Everyone,
Take a look at this distributor I got off of a Slant 6 industrial engine that had a Chrysler point-type distributor. Note the unusually wide terminals inside the cap. Has anyone ever seen one like this before? There is a number inside the cap... 2444690 and a symbol below the number but I do not recognize the symbol as any kind of Mopor logo unless it is from before my time. Twist your head sideways and look close and you can see the symbol just below the 24 at the beginning of the number. The engine it came off of was late 1960s vintage, on a old Case Combine. Download the picture to your favorite place so I can delete it off my web space.

Yep, I've seen them in black, blue and tan colored caps. Never thought too much about 'em because they had aluminum terminals.

The parts car '75 Duster I recently got has a tan distributor cap with the ribs inside just like that one, but it has the standard type contacts for each plug wire connector. I was thinking of saving it, but it looks to be pretty well used.

Recently purchased a 65 Dart with the same type distributor , but it was black.
