was wondering i changed my plugs and noticed that number 1 and 6 plugs where normal but the others 2-5 where carbon coated ???? what could be causing this and also my distr. cap was wobbling ???? it was on but still wobbled took it off and put it back in but felt kind of lobsided like if something in the middle has preventing it from setting down??? |

Had a similar problem with one of my slant dist. Some rotors have a rather 'fat' tab and don't push down into slot on dist shaft far enough and can cause cap to 'wobble' as it's hitting rotor and not seating all the way. |

Hi geronimemo1914, the recommend quality pieces to use are Standard CH410X distributor cap and Napa Echlin MO3000 high performance extended tip rotor. The Eclin rotor is available only from Napa or dmauto (search by brand to find it), if you cannot get it, use the stock Standard rotor. if you use the FAQs in engine or electrical sections, or use the search function, you'll find a lot of info on the subject.
