What is the procedure for adjusting the voltage regulator?.

I believe my charging system is overcharging.

I can't seem to get rid of the corrosion that constantly re-occurs (I'm talking one day and it's starts again after a thorough cleaning) on my battery hold down clamps (Not the posts) and battery hold down bracket

Thanks for the help in advance

Put a voltmeter on the battery and see what you're getting voltage-wise before you try adjusting the regulator...

It's not worth the time, effort, or purchase of special (and now very hard to find) tools to futz around trying to make the old type regulator work the way you want it to. Remove the old regulator and replace it with something better and less stone-age: a NAPA Echlin VR-1001 or Standard/BlueStreak VR-128.

Sounds like the battery is boiling, due -- as you suspect -- to overcharging.
