Hello everyone, i haven't posted in a while, but i got this problem and i cant figure it out. I was driving yesterday and everything was fine, i started noticing that the engine started to act weird. When i stepped on the gas the engine will start kind of cutting but continuously. I thought the spark plugs where bad so i changed them, i opened the carburetor and cleaned it. Now it is hard to start the engine, and when it starts the idle is kind of bad and if i give it gas, it starts acting very very bad, as it was misfiring. Any ideas? |

What year, make & model is it? Does the vehicle have electronic ignition or points? DD |

I believe you have a 1972 correct?If so check to see if your points are closing up and your condenser is in good shape. |

First of all thanks guys! And yes, i have points and yes its a '72. I was thinking points too but i didnt want to start making assumptions cuz then you get stuck with one idea. What is the best way to easy check the points? how "big" should the gap be? Thanks again
