| Post subject: | 1976 Plymouth Volare Speedometer problems |
I have problems with my speedometer. It was jumping around,making noise, so I took the cable loose and checked it. The inner part spins freely in the cable housing, but when I connect it to the transmission, it does not work. Could there be a problem with the mechanism in the transmission causing the problem? And if so, is there a way to fix that myself, or do I have to take it to a trans. shop. |

Sounds like you need to get a new speedometer cable. You hould be able to get one at an auto parts store. |
