So I need to get a new filler neck to tank gasket for my 62 Dart 440. It is the behind the plate style. I went out to measure, and the filler neck is slightly wider than the one on my 68 Road Runner. Any one know of a suitable replacement gasket? Thanks

'62-'65 B-bodies are generally easy to buy parts for because the high-endy Max Wedge and Hemi guys doing high-dollar restorations create good parts availability.

Looks like this is the item you need; check the detailed application list in the auction text.

Off topic, but not too far off:

A new Year One catalog arrived yesterday via post. These guys now list primer finish & chrome gas caps for 1967-1969 A Body models.

Yeah, it seems one of the have-parts-made-in-China companies has now branched into gas caps. It's always hard to tell where these things are actually coming from. Who's actually having them made and selling them directly to end users, vs. who's buying them and then reselling them to end users? They all claim to be the source ("We make it in our own factory", "We have it made to our specs", "It's our design", etc.); this is a very Chinese business practice and it's one of many such practices we're going to have to live with, like it or not, as China becomes the world's dominant economy. Hooray! Anyhow, the outfit in Wisconsin (Vansautolic and various other names) seems to be a likely origin point for these caps, which they are selling as "1967-1976 A-body". Bzzt! Wrong! It takes three different caps to cover that year range. I advised them of this and they said they're checking into it; seems they(?) sent a whole '68 Dart "overseas" (i.e., to China), and it looks like there might have been some guessing. Gosh, the body shell's the same from '67-'76, so I guess the gas cap has to be the same, right?
