I'm painting my '64 Valiant convertible and since the windshield is out, I want to replace the old chipped and scratched one with new glass.

The local dealer lists clear available, but not tinted, or even one with an upper tint. Does anyone have a source for a tinted version?

I also have a 64 conv.............Sometimes you just gotta look on the net and order one. That's what the local dealers do anyhow. I can't remember where I got mine ......Rock auto I think tinted and really fast shipping. we'll see how it holds up with chips and such......think I paid 200.00.
regards and good luck,

max

BTW where in tx are you ? I'm in midland

Shop carefully when buying windshields; try to avoid "SVG" and other no-name crap from China. The NAGS number on this windshield is DW-625 and it should still be possible to find a good name-brand unit with tint and shade. Call around to good glass shops in your area and ask.

I bought a PPG one and it was still made in China. No way around it I was told.

Thanks for the input, Everyone, and Dan, I appreciate the part number info. Someday I'd love to see your research library!
