I like the fact that it has a scale etched on it for accurate timing points at various rpm that can be used with a standard timing gun. It comes in handy when you recurve your distributor.

The purpose of a damper is not to make power, it is to dampen vibrations and extend component life.

Also, that damper has an SFI rating on it making it legal in cars fast enough to need an SFI damper. That means you won't have a stock damper exploding and putting holes in your stuff and the people around you.

It is only a rip-off if you think it makes horsepower.
