okay my names eben. I building a 4x4 truck with a 61 ford f350 cab and a 64 d100 frame and engine. but The 225 slant thats in the truck has a push botton auto and i want a manual but of course i need a tcase behind it so my question is will a newer 4x4 like a mid 80s dodge truck tranny and tcase fit up to the 225?? im going to pick and pull so i can get it. thanks a lot guys ill post pics

Hi, and welcome to the forum. The sad fact is that only transmissions that are made for the slantsix will bolt up, but there is work going on to make adapters. The bolt pattern on the V6s and V8s are different from the slant, so they will not fit. I do not have the necessary knowledge to guide you regarding transfer cases, hopefully some other member reads this, and can give you better guidance. You can try to make use of our exellent search function, there must be members with similar questions earlier.
