My 1963 Dart has the pentastar on the front passenger side fender (behind the front tire). I've seen some pics with and some pics without this little piece of trim. I know for a fact that later Mopars had these, but did they put them on the 63s? |

Often when a Chrysler product went in for some body work on the right front fender, the pentastar was removed and never replaced. This was an area of the car that rusted out early and often; at least in New England anyway. By the way, only one pentastar per car, and it is always located on lower right front fender. Year One lists that star for 1967- 1972 models. |

I'm just checking because my 63 has it and wondering if someone added it, and I've seen literature for 64 Darts that has the pentastar. If the 63 officially didn't have it, I'll shave it (along with the rest of the trim when I have the body work done later this year) |

If you are shaving the trim, why worry about the Pentastar? Just have fun your way. Sam |

I have one on my '64 Dart 270. Not sure about '63. I second Sam's comment... Lou |

I'm not sure why I wanted to keep only that - I probably will shave it off anyway. |

Fill the hole.If you miss it or want to put one on later you can use 3m double sided tape like all modern car emblems are attached. |

My '63 170 does not have it. Can't see holes either. It is a first month production car, so it may have been skipped or a later addition. |

Yea, And i would agree with you here . If you decide to put it on later use the 3M tape. Its the best out there. I put on some stainless steel panels on my truck 2 years ago and its still as tight as the day i put it on. It had the 3M tape on the back of the panels.
