The inliner is tomorrow, but I'll be on my way to Chicago for another week. Today was great fun! We had ten cars. Andrew called to let me know he wasn't going to be able to make the drive, as the festivities surrounding his son's graduation ran long. The Mueller camp was fully up and running by the time Richard and I arrived. Frank and Linda were there, along with Doug Powers and a large contingent with the Mueller clan. Dave and Althea had slant cars for the points race. First round winners: Althea, Dave, Mike, Bobby and CJ Second round winners: Althea, Mike and CJ Semi-Final round: Mike and CJ Final: Mike Bjerklund! Inliner Tomorrow! Get yourself to the track! CJ |

Yep, That's Frank's Predator. 9xx cfm. I can't remember. It's effectively a large variable venturi 1 bbl with a spray bar. Kind of a high tech version of a Fish carb with a few more bells and whistles. Frank has a lot of engine to carry the predator, but was unable to make his pass due to a faulty ignition. It started missing. THOR dug into it and found out the pickup had weird gap issues. Ended up, the dizzy shaft was bent. Bill brought a couple modules with him, but nobody had a spare dizzy on hand. Fank will be back with a strong ignition and should put on a good show. So far it looks like his mixture is right on target. We're all watching how the Predator works out! The dial on my windshield was 15.17 for a couple of rounds. I was having trouble hanging onto the track on launch even with the locker. Dumped tire pressure, but nothing helped. In the final I dialed a 15.31 and drove a 15.33 Darn -.05 light! Mike drove a nice consistent series of passes, and finished us all off! CJ |
