i have a 1970 dodge dart with a torqueflite 3 speed auto. i know where exists a 1965 cuda with a three-speed on the floor, both are 225 sl6. the guy says he will sell me the transfer case, pedal assemblies, clutch, transmission and driveshaft for $200, i presume that the driveshaft will not fit. I was wondering what else i would need to make this swap work; and where to get the part that allows the older transmission to fit in the newer engine proper, or am I just low on headlight fluid.

You might have a hard time with the '65 transmission since it uses a ball and trunion front U-joint, which bolts to the flanged output of the transmission, unlike the slip yokes of all the '66 and newer cars.
Also, there is no off the shelf speedometer cable to connect a '68 and newer speedometer to a '65 and older transmission. The early A-body pedal assembly and clutch linkage won't fit a '67 and newer A-body. If the '65 has it's original engine and flywheel the flywheel won't fit.
This is just not a good swap candidate.

Is the guy cutting up the car or just swapping out the drivetrain?

I have a couple 3 speeds sitting here....and a new Mr Gasket universal 3 speed shifter. If you would like them drop me a pm, and we can make a deal. The trammys are a 70, and a 67.......one from a Duster, and the other from my Barracuda.

I wish it were a little closer. If the floor piece that covers the shifter and rods is still there I could use it for the 4-speed swap in my '66 Barracuda.
