i purchashes a mopar manifold a few months back and noticed that theres a hole with threads on one side. The reason i ask is because I have a 67 engine and on the old manifold theres nothing there. I would like to know how would i plug/ block it off... will something from the plumbing section work?? anyways if you can help/ guide me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated thank you

i have a 70 dart, and my engine also has the threaded hole there, it looks like it's just pipe thread, but i don't know if the manifold is original or not, when i removed the egr valve from my super six manifold it looked like it was tapered just a hair, and that was in the same location as the plug in the installed manifold. don't have the pieces with me but it seemed like probably close to a 3/4 inch end plug would work. hopefully one of the guys that has dealt with this successfully will chime in.

You don't say whether you are talking intake or exhaust manifold. If it's the exhaust manifold, luigisir is right. It's an EGR port and just use a standard pipe plug on it if you didn't have one on your old set-up. You must block it or have one heck of an exhaust leak. There is also a block-off plate that can be purchased or made for this.

Same goes for the intake(if that happens to be what you are talking about). If you didn't have one on your old one, just uses standard pipe plugs. Don't remember exactly what size. 1/2 or 3/4

If the hole is on the side of the manifold above the outlet the hole is 18mm x 1.5 and it's for an O2 sensor. Summit Racing has a plug, but you might be able to come up with an 18mm oil pan drain plug locally.

thanks for the help guys.... i found the o2 sensor plugs on summit, i may check a local hardware store first though
