This is not an engine question, but I figure someone here might be able to help.

I am about to cut the hole to install a factory antenna on my 63 valiant.

I am trying to figure out exactly where to cut the hole. I have the factory service manual, but the diagram doesn't match up with the body lines.

Does anyone have the correct diagram or have any other tips?

I can't tell you about the position, but I can give you a couple of suggestions on how to cut the hole. I don't know what size hole but if it is a 'std'('nice' fraction of an inch)size hole, see if a chassis punch will work. They have a male and female die, which when drawn together by a bolt, makes an exceptionally clean cut. You can get them at HomeDepot, or an electrical supply store.
Another alternative is a 'uni-drill', which consists of stepped cone looking drill. They are a little expensive, but they are several drills in one. They, also, make a very clean cut in sheet metal. Those are also available from HoDepot, and asst'd other retail outlets.

My '64 manual specifies the location and it should be the same for a '63.

The center of the hole is 8-1/64" forward of the door opening and 1-31/32" outboard of the hood opening.

The antenna on my '63 convt. is located on the right rear fender. It was there when I bought the car 8 years ago. Radios were options. Maybe the hole location was too.
