Hi, I'm running a 1975 Plymouth gran fury, originally it had a 360, but at sometime in the past it was swapped for a 225 slant. I've run the car for the past three years, only on 'high days and holidays' and it drives and changes gear fine, but I'm starting to worry as the kickdown linkage is not connected to anything! do i risk damaging the box using it like this, or should the linkage be fixed in one position, at the moment it can move around if it wants to. any advice appreciated, thanks!, Graham (in the UK).

By all means get it hooked up or you will not have a long living 904 or 727!
