Post subject:  1920 Holley carbs, help!

So I have two 1920 Holley carbs one that has been remanufactured and the other that was taken off my 72 duster,
The one of my duster is numbered 12B-7611B
The remanufactured one is 12R-7610B
What I wanna know is if the remanufactured one can be used instead of the original one that was on there?
The reason I ask is because there are some differences on the way they look, the remanufactured one has two vacuum ports that the original didn't have and and underneath where it's mounted to the exhaust manifold they appear to use different gaskets...
I know I should stay away from remanufactured ones but it's more of a test to see how good it works or if it even works...

The gasket hasn't been different for the large variety that I have stockpiled, but there are always exceptions.

Find the right gasket if needed, bolt it on, plug in the hoses on the reman Carb the same as you would the original, then cap off the extra ports and see if it works.

and those numbers you posted are actually casting or part numbers that Holley used.
The correct number would be the word "list", then four digits, with possibly a letter after them. The list number is what you'd need to identify the carb when getting an o-haul kit. In most cases, you can find it on the choke horn.
