Hi, I have a /6 in a '75 Duster and the carb is a 1945 as far as I can tell. WE probably be taking the /6 out next year so I do not want to put too much time into this. The engine works great..a bit hard to start but you cannot compare it with cars that have fuel injection. The main problem is if you take a corner ..it misses then kicks back in or stalls completely. I have not replaced the filter since I bought it and it sat for 3 years...so a new one is going in. I think the main culprit are (is) the float(s). Is there an adjustment screw or do I need to take them out and check for leaks and bend them fora higher setting ? Anyone, can you please help and is there any instructions out in the void that I can d'load ? Thanks ian. |

There maybe some water and crud in the float bowl or the float could be sticking. Mine liked to expand and then rub on the sides of the bowl. A quick rebuild might get you by for the next year......until you pull it. |
