This event is the most important collector cars exhibition in Latin America. Here are concentrated around 500 cars of European, American, and japanese brands, represented by different clubs. Takes place at the premises of the restaurant called "The Stables" in Huixquilucan, a few miles from Mexico City, in this town you can find extensive and beautiful green areas that frame an event that brings together the major automobile companies in Mexico, combined with the environment of the car collector hobby. This time I sent you pictures of our Valiant Acapulco in this event. To exhibit the car we made some cosmetic changes including Lucas lights, rechrome front bumper, change for a rear 62 Dodge Lancer bumper , a Nardi 380mm. steering wheel "1960 model" that was used in the Ferraris of the time, what benefit us more in the retro look we wanted to obtain, were the Cragar rechromed 4x5x13 rims wheels, mounting U.S. Royal white wall Coker tires. From all this, what most caught the eye during the exhibition was the slant six engine with Offenhauser dual carburetor system. Corporate executives of Chrysler in Mexico were surprised to see the car, and more when they heard the roar of the slant six. To finish what pleased me most was my way back to the city, where I could teach two or three owners of English and Italian classic cars (Jaguars, Alfa Romeo and Mini Coopers), that on the road they have nothing to do against a well-tuned slantsix . Complete information about the event can be seen in http://www.concursodeelegancia.com.mx/ Greetings from Mexico City http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/1196 ... huixqu.jpg http://img713.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img153.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img839.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img691.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img10.imageshack.us/i/valiantaca ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img514.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img291.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img33.imageshack.us/i/valiantaca ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img820.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/ http://img844.imageshack.us/i/valiantac ... uixqu.jpg/[/img] |
