Post subject:  65 Valiant Wagon taillights

I saw an unusual thing on my Valiant wagon's taillights. There are 2 lenses on the assembly, an outer round red lens and an inner square red lens. What is odd is that the outer round light is for the brakes, and the inner light is for tail & signals. I have never seen an A-Body that did not use the same bulb for both signals & brakes.

This car also came with backup lights according to the build sheet, but I don't see any. Where would they be?

Any pictures and data about how these lights should work would be appreciated. The light assemblies have been hacked up due to a rear-end accident.

Looks like they were built into the outer light assembly.

That's what I was thinking, but those lights have red lenses on mine & are connected to the brakes. I thought they were hacked! Thanks!!

Nice wagon!! Looks like tinted windows too!
