I am building a 225 with 10.6 comp. The heads have 188 150 valves milled .125 ported 3 angle dual springs. I am using K1 rods and dished pistons to give me the compression ratio I wanted. The car is only 2400 lbs. and the rear is a 4:11 12 bolt cheby. I am building everything for 7000 rpm's would like to shift at 6500. I am not stuck with the rear gears they were just the gears that were in the rear end when i purchased it. My end goal is 300hp NA, with as much torque as possible. I am looking for help with cam and carb selection. This will be set up for racing. Would eventually like to see some low 12 second passes. Just got to get this thing together and start working out the bugs. My dad is an old retired Chrysler Mechanic and can do wonders with the auto tranny If I promise to let him drive it sometime. Thanks Kenny P. |

Right on, I thought this thing could be a possible high 11 car. What size gear do you run? And is it auto or stick. What degree advance are you set at? Whoa, is that too many questions at once. I'm sounding like a little school boy. I am leaving the desert in a few days and will be setting this car up for the track in the spring. Just never built or ran a /6 before. Thanks Kenny P. |

Thanks allot, Maybe these gears are not to tall to start test runs with. Well this gives me a great starting point. I'm sure I'll have allot of tweaking to get it to run like I want. You guys on here have helped point me in the right direction on so many ideas. I really appreciate it and will become a monthly donator as soon as I get back to the land of T#tt#es and beer. Thanks Kenny P. |
