Ok so this guy said he had a slant built up that would put my car into the 7.50 range , said he kept breaking cams he said he was shifting at 8500 which explains that .2 flags went up anyway he wants to sell it but i think will get it completely checked out, said some guy in ne built it any thoughts anyone thanks

When a guy says one thing you KNOW is wrong (the 8500 rpm here) that puts EVERYTHING else in question. From that point on, you must question every statement. Beware.

Im with you all on that one when he walked up to me and said he had a slant that would put me in the 7.50 i new it was going to be a tall tail but im going to check it out thanks for the input

7.50 is still a dang fast 1/8th mile, and would be totally heroic in Mike's car...

I know a certain racer who did use the wrong tach setting (8 cyl), and blew up 3 motors thinking he was revving to 5500 when he was actually hitting 7300. :roll:
