Hi,

I know a little bit about POD filters, I have a 67 225 Slant 6, with a 350 holley long runner intake bit of head work done on the engine and extractors and new bigger igniton etc.

Point is do you guys think I'll get a noticeable gain with a POD filter?

Thinking I'd be able to adjust the carb a little bit? with a pod filter over just a standard one.

A POD is usually a nick name for the vacuum advance on the distributor.
No filters there...
So are you talking about a pre-filter? that goes over the air filter? If so,
I run one since I have ram air set up on my car. It keeps the bugs, hay and other debris out. I wash it a couple of times a year and put it back on.

Like a K&N or Uni-Filter?

In a nutshell, no.

Just a 120 miles a day back and forth to work. Much of the road is along the foot hills of the Cascades. Lots of bees, folks mowing hay, etc.

Here's a pod filter setup I ran for a short while. I can't say it ran any better than the standard 14" x 3" open element filter. If the pod filter was mounted outside the engine bay I reckon it would be a different story.
