i have been hearing about aftermarket harmonic balancers, and since mine is almost shot and i don't want to waste my time digging thru barrels 40 miles away to pay good money for one that may be crap.

I was thinking of an aftermarket one that would be solid and look all pimped out on my chromed up engine bay.

also the pro's and con's of using an aftermarket one.

i don't have a lot of cash but I can justify the purchace of quality parts if they exist.

thanks!

neil

Take a look here.

http://www.romac.com.au/balancers_US.html

Part number is 0224

They are relatively expensive, but I haven't heard of any failures with them.

I bought a Powerbond damper and it looks nice. Cheaper than a Romac and if you keep it under 6k RPM should be just fine.

thanks CJ and Josh!

it looks like a prefect way to spend my Birthday money on a solid part.

I'm prolly going with the the powerbond because of the lesser price.
