I know of one racer that uses the 750 cfm on his car and it responds very well. His setup is a lot like yours and i thank the 750 would work fine. But as always it is better to under carg a bit than to go overboard. Thanks Ron

Pete I had a engine that was pretty close to yours but mine was bored .100 over. I ran this carb with vaccume secondaires. Right now I am using three 350 Holley two barrel carb's. Can't remember the formula for conversion but this comb runs really good.

sledge, I guess the better question is what is the motor going in? Weight, trans type, rear gears?

There is not really enough info. here to make an accurate guess. I would personally start-off smaller for this brand new combo, especially if you do not have a lot of carb tuning experence.

So lets see... here the latest Summit catolog,
a Carter 600 cfm at $199.00, an Edelbrock 500 or 600 for $216.00 and here is a Holley 450 cfm for $175.00, now that's pretty cheap for a brand new vacuum secondary 4 bbl carb.

It's going in a 69 dart, Weight 2850, 904 with reverse manual valvebody, 456 gears,,Thanks again, Pete

And then there is twisted6 on the inliners board that has a sheet metal tunnel ram with 3 holley 4bbls on a 250 chev. So size is relative.

Here is Holley's formula:

CI * Max RPM / 3456

So, 225 ci at 6000 rpm gives you:

225 * 6000 /3456 = 390.625

At .060 over you get about 404.
